True, but the problem with California Republicans is that they’ve still gotten into the habit of voting for government control and intervention. They are generally not as conservative as they think they are, even in the Central Valley.

You already see it in places like Eagle and Post Falls. California Republicans moving in and then voting for tax increases because they have grown to expect that government should handle certain things and provide a certain level of benefits.

I moved to Boundary County precisely because I’ve seen this happening in Kootenai County.

Some of them have been in that environment too long.

My wife and I left CA 30 years ago. I always wonder about recent arrivals, “what took you so long?”
