That “discrimination” was per the banking credit card cartel, looking to get their cut without allowing merchant to pass the cost on to customers who opted to use their products.

That is what got us this close to a cashless society—and acute social credit score control.

Absolutely, In fact AMEX even sued the industry and merchants for discrimination and unfair practice because merchants refused to take their cards. And I don’t blame merchants for not taking them, I wouldn’t when I was in business. They wanted double processing fees to take their card and I refused to take them. Burning me to give rich people perks. They even threatened to take me to court over it.
