A few weeks ago, I ate at a TGI Friday at Dallas Ft. Worth Airport. After waiting for my bill, the waitress pointed to a QR code on the table and told me to do it myself. I had to scan the code, manually enter my card info and not get a printed receipt.

Who made the decision to set that up? The waitress?

This is planning to eliminate good waitresses and you will be served by DEI next time assuming you get any service.

I understand why mgt is doing this. But their successful competition will not. This should drive the market to local eateries like in the old time movies.

We are in the beginnings of the market place adjusting.

She did 2/3 the work and should get 2/3 the tip. Don’t forget, a tip is a reward for excellent service, not an expectation.
