You know plenty about self worth.......and not enough about clinical depression.

SamAdams76 is right. If you're too busy trying to survive, you're not going to find the time to get depressed.

Did our ancestors get depressed? They were too busy trying to figure out how they're going to get something to eat.

Yes, I could have worded it better but that is my basic point. A life that is too comfortable actually encourages depression.

Humans need challenges in their lives.

For instance, there is not a single successful novel (or movie) in which the main characters do not have to overcome some sort of adversity.
