Yep, that’s probably true!
I’m sorry to hear that.
I have a sister who is a vax believer and my one brother and I aren’t. When omicron started making the rounds, she rushed out and got boosted, again, and then told my brother that she did the responsible thing as soon as she could.
Of course, there was that little dig towards us. He and I chose to ignore it. It’s her life and her consequences. Course she lives in a blue state and likely got a safer version of the vax.
We have 4 households on our rural street, three of them had a spouse die of super rare cancers that were a 1.5 year span from diagnosis to death during the big vaccine push. The fourth house was healthy and cancer free-that was us vaccine refuseniks. All you can do is pray for those poor souls.

I set out to understand why people were behaving in a way that would’ve been seen as unhinged just weeks before.
I could see everyone becoming germophobes, and I wondered if that behavior, once ingrained in the population, would ever go away.
Could I reason people out of a position they didn’t reason themselves into?
Probably not, but there were other people I admired trying, and I couldn’t just stand idle.
So I decided to write a book, an idea that became, “Fear of a Microbial Planet!”

Being a ‘germaphobe’ is about as unhealthy as you can get.
To keep your immune system up and in tip-top condition, it is like any muscle in your body. It must be used regularly to keep its tone and strength up, else it gets lazy.
Your immune system must constantly be triggered and exposed to different types of germs and viruses to keep it in good working order.
Becoming a germaphobe defeats that and in reality makes you more vulnerable to the very germs you are afraid of!.....................
