I just want to point out something about these compact, and sub compact handguns.
Because of the short barrel lengths, being less than 4”, hollow point self defense rounds may not either adequately penetrate, or may not expand, per the FBI and other test standards.
As far as I know, the federal hst in 124 gr +p, and 147 gr, appear to still to perform adequately in compacts of < 4” barrels, or more specifically, I have not seen a test that shows newer (couple years since the redesign) 147 gr hst does not pass the fbi standards out of a 3.1” barrel.
It might mean when you go to these compact and subcompact firearms, you may have to reconsidery your ammunition choices.
The excellent Hornady Critical Defense ammo is designed for use in shorter barrels.
