There’s 9-10”m of snow on tap for Wed and Thurs.

Rain here, but sun Tuesday! Thank God. And I am about 2 weeks or more behind. Hopefully, the lettuce can go in once that melts.

i actually have some lettuce seeds. Never grew it. Have to look up the when, where and how.

Lettuce is easy.

I started mine over a month ago and they are out in the garden now and doing very well. It’s been a mild, wet week which is ideal for transplants getting established..

Lettuce is frost tolerant but I put a frame over the lettuce to keep critters out and can lay old sheets or tarps across the top easily enough if there’s a danger of the weather being a problem.

What we did for our frames is take turkey wire and cut a length of it and made a tunnel out of it. Since it comes in rolls, it’s easy for that shape. The only trick is getting enough wire to make the tunnel for the width of the bed.
