Appreciate it. Everything I read is real professional or hard core ameture sis inkjet for photos. Laser looks ok but depth is missing. I can live without it but the better half wants a better print solution. Spent a small fortune on paper types. I can’t tell except some have a glossy finish to the same picture. Men - it’s good enough ; women - I want perfection withou knowing what that even means. Rant off.
There is a whole science/slash art form in color printing, that involves color matching and profiles. It is very complex if you get into the weeds, but the basic goal is to have your prinyed results match the image you see on your monitor.
Your wife is correct however. If the image is good enough to print, you should try to make the best print possible. You can choose to make it frustrating, or a worthwhile learning experience. Enjoy the journey!
