Actually, if there is anything to this, let them publish the crypto transaction hashes for the whole world to see. Crypto being infinitely traceable, it would be fascinating to see the prior TX history on any crypto transactions alleged to be involved.

Well I’m not easily convinced, that’s for sure.

What was the strategic purpose of this attack?

That's the lens to use to understand.

This attack served exactly ZERO purpose for Ukraine.

Putin needed something to rally the troops.

Yet again, False Flag anyone? Also see Reichstag fire.

Doesn't anyone read or study history anymore? To be fair some FReepers including you packagingguy clearly do -- but most people don't.

Ya, and the US and Ukraine are so known for telling the truth. LOL

Yeah, this is going to hurt to say: The US under the current "leadership" is at least as corrupt as Russia.

That's scary.

“”””Victoria Nuland alluded to this in a recent press conference where she said that the recent re commitment to Ukraine was going to result in asymmetric attacks inside of Russia itself””””

Got that quote?

““be able to accelerate the asymmetric Warfare that has been most effective on the battlefield and as I said in Kiev three weeks ago this supplemental funding will ensure Putin faces some nasty surprises on the battlefield this year”

Do not believe ANYTHING that comes out of Kiev, Moscow or Washington. All lies and half-truths (at best). All have an agenda. We will never know the truth for 75 years in the future—if there is a future.

You can’t believe anything the Russians say about this.

and yet so many of us do... cash from cia to ukraine to terrorists/mercenaries to pay for the event...

surely our CIA has never and would never false flag an operation of terror to trigger political change, financial support or installation of their preferred regime...

perish the thought... which happens to be (more often than not) an historical fact.

"Putin has been known to lie on very rare occasions."

At this point in time, I'd believe Putin long before I'd believe The Biden Administration, and his alphabet agencies.

"Garbage, we all know what happened. Thats Ukraine's MO, cause civilian deaths and blame someone else for it."

Right out of Hitler's playbook.

Are you willing to be nuked by Russia over Ukraine? Over any foreign country? I know it will be hard, but take some time to think about it, and then choose wisely.

"Putin needed something to rally the troops."

Sure he does, because Russia's never been victorious in any previous battles against bigger foes.

Get the /sarc. Fair enough. But Putin is facing some internal strife.

As many invaders have learned, invading Russia is a BAD idea. Especialy in winter.

That said, this is not that kind of war.

Quick summary of the geopolitical situation:

Putin is a monster.

Ukraine's government is/was massively corrupt.

A staggering number of people have died on both sides. See here. Yes, half a million people (and that's probably a low estimate).

US leadership is pathetic or complicit.

Shorter version: this is a nightmare for the world. I suspect it will just get worse.
