That day changed my life too. I had volunteered at Republican headquarters and was the best fundraiser they ever had, even though I was just 26. The head of the state Republican Party took me to lunch, was offering me a job at state Republican headquarters, which would mean moving there. We sat at a table with full view of the TV set when Walter Cronkite came on to announce JFK was shot. Some live footage was shown.
All I wanted to do was get home to my little kids, and he did too. End of my political career, and probably all for the best.
Actually, I met JFK when I was 18, was assistant to famous photographer who was Jackie’s favorite. Friend Peggy and I were at Dem National Convention, where she worked for.a photographer too. Our parents had met photographer and knew we’d be OK.
I read/watched somewhere recently that Trump was asked WHY he did not release all the JFK files. He responded that if you had read what I did, you would not have released them either.
I paraphrased what Trump said. The person stated that not only was LBJ and the CIA involved, but so was the MOSAD. The MOSAD was involved because apparently JFK was totally against Israel getting the bomb.
So, by releasing all the files, not only would people be screaming for an end of the CIA. There would be huge backlash against Israel.
Relatively unknown people like the Congressman from Grand Rapids. The former football player with the trick knee. That became VP when Spiro Agnew was forced out. Then POTUS when Nixon resigned.
I think Nixon’s biggest mistake was when he asked the CIA director: Hey, what happened to Jack?
Kind of makes you wonder what was really on those tapes that got erased.
The POTUS that had the largest landslide Electoral reelection win ever.

FWIW, it happened on my 13th birthday....I’ll never forget it.
All our female school teachers were crying, and they sent us home early without telling us what was going on. When I finally got home, I saw a half-decorated birthday cake sitting on the kitchen counter with a frosting-covered spatula laying on the kitchen floor. My mother was in the living room kneeling in front our old B&W TV with the volume sky-high watching all the news balling her eyes out. No one else had made it home yet. I remember asking her: “What’s going on?” In my mind, my immediate first thought was the Russians dropped a nuke on us as we were constantly having the “under the desk” nuke drills at school.
As she stood up and told me what happened, she grabbed/hugged me sobbing her heart out.... I remember how hot and damp she felt when she hugged me. Apparently, she’d been crying for some time. I had to get away from it all. I remember going back outside the house to the backyard and just standing there, physically shaking.
Tragic...no other way to describe It.

I was 8, nearly 9 years old in 3rd grade.
Our small town rural school was a one-building 1-12 grades all in one place.
We were in Central Time zone and it was lunch time.
After or class went to lunch we had a short recess before classes restarted.
The school auditorium was adjacent our classroom, and during lunch they had a TV going down near the stage and usually there were a few juniors and seniors sitting around watching.
I remember seeing a bunch of the teachers and older students running down the hallway to get to the auditorium.
Being just a kid it didn’t dawn on me that something big was going on or what it was, my only concern was recess.
Later that day, about 2pm or so, a teacher came to our classroom and called our teacher out to the hallway for a second.
When she came back in, she was somber and sad looking, and slowly announced to us that President Kennedy had been shot and killed in Dallas that morning...........
So, so many questions with this case. Here’s one: why did Oswald order his guns through the post office, which could be easily traced back to him when he could just walk into almost any 1963 gun shop and not even need an ID?
No IDs. No camera image of him buying the gun. Why leave direct trace evidence of a gun purchase?
Oswald wasn’t a smart guy.
That’s why he was chosen....................
RFK Jr would be an amazing AG pick. Tell him to go after the alphabet agencies.
So why not kill RFK, why JFK?
Yes, the CIA’s James Jesus Angleton was working with a faction of the DoD trying to do an end run around Kennedy and help Israel get the bomb even after JFK had said in no uncertain terms “no”. And JFK found out they were going behind his back just before the assassination.

Because leaving the paper trail was the entire point. Why would he hand out Communist pamphlets in New Orleans right outside the club where the anti-Castro Cubans hung out? Because he was supposed to get arrested fighting anti-communists, to establish his bona fides as a communist.
Oswald’s activities in the years leading up to the assassination only really make sense when you realize someone was planning to use him for something which they wanted to blame on the communists, and they wanted to make sure there was a trail of evidence any reporter or investigator could find that would make him look guilty, and make him look like a communist.
Johnson was a very sick twisted individual I can not stress that enough.

I used to believe in a JFK conspiracy until I realized who in the world would ever keep their mouths shut knowing such information?
