CHICAGO (CBS) -- The gap in the race for Cook County State's Attorney has narrowed even more. The Chicago Board of Elections added more than 10,000 votes to its total count on Saturday after its director of public information said he mistakenly left out some vote-by-mail ballots.
The unofficial count now stands at 368,990 ballots cast after the 10,659 additional votes were added, bringing the citywide turnout to 24.44%. There are 1,509,554 active registered voters.
"In adding up the total number of Vote By Mail ballots the Board had received back so far, I mistakenly left out additional ballots that had been received back via USPS the evening of Monday, March 18," said Max Bever, director of public information for the Chicago Board of Elections. "I traded speed for accuracy in reporting out numbers this week as quickly as I could. I truly regret this error on my part and for the confusion that it has caused the voters of Chicago. I will share updated numbers only when they are accurate and verified."

This always goes the same way. It will not change until there is serious lead flying towards those responsible. Why would it change otherwise? I see no way out.
And the band played on.....
Did they remember to count the cemeteries?
Took a little longer to print than they thought.
Hot off the presses.
Not the news, the ballots.
More like “ballot production”….
I remember when Al Franken ran for Senator and they were finding bags of ballots in car trunks and behind filing cabinets. And once he moved in front the searching stopped and he was declared the winner and its been downhill ever since!

"Politician who stays bought".
(un)Official slogan of the Chicago City Council - "Ubi Mea". (Where's mine?)
Let me guess 100% of them were for Democrats.
It’s amazing the number of seats the Dung Beetle Party “wins” by not having the ability to correctly count votes until they find out how many they need to win. Damn criminals. The GOP better start playing the “Let’s Steal the Election Game” or eventually they won’t win any elections. That’s why so many Republicans have resigned from Congress over the past two years. The bullsh*t they and their family is put through by the scumbag turd rollers in the DNC’s “national media” just isn’t worth it unless you’re already a greedy bastard who would murder your grandmother in your “journey” seeking big money and power.
Unremarkably, not a single one was a Republican
That was blatant, no question.
Then we have Michigan where Detroit waited for the results of precincts across the state to report before they tallied their results. Detroit has pulled this stunt going back decades. Chicago has been a hot bed of voter fraud going back a century.
The Demoncrats ... I mean Democrats are probably just practicing for the 2024 elections ... actually I mean Demoncrats.
These integrity-free nitwit criminals need to be imprisoned.
It should be a felony for anyone involved in the election process to “lose” ballots.
It is time we moved voting into the 21st century.
When I renew my drivers license I had to prove I was an American Citizen, have my picture taken and a thumb print.
Now if they would connect that information to electronic ballots you can have elections without having to register to vote first.
Simply require those without driver’s license to get ID cards with the same information.
Now here is the good part.
Instead of the the process we go through now you would have terminals.
You approach the terminal and use facial recondition and thumb print to ID you and if a primary you select which party you are in and then the ballot appears on the screen you press your choices and then it asked if you are done and if yes press yes and your vote is automatically counted.
Here is where we cut out almost all fraud. Once you vote you the system records that you voted.
It could even handle voters that are traveling. You can go to any polling place and your id would show where your place of residence is and you will only have access to choice you would have there.
This would work for our military as well.
Then make it a felony for anyone trying to commit voter fraud by tampering with the system hardware or software or the count.
Leave it to Beaver. In this case, Max Beaver.
Unsurprisingly, all 10,000 votes were for the preferred democrat candidate.
Need to point out that this is a Democrat primary.
As of Saturday night [Democrat] Eileen O’Neill Burke is leading [Democrat] Clayton Harris III by just under 4,800 votes.

I suspect the Republicans did not even put up a candidate. After typing, I went to check and indeed there is a Republican in the race who go less than 10% of the combined dem vote.

39,500 Republicans went to vote, but 11,000 did not vote in the States Attorney Race.
There was a city question to Amend the Real Estate Transfer Tax which failed.
The measure asked voters to authorize the City Council to increase the real estate transfer tax on the sales of properties for $1 million or more in Chicago, while lowering the tax rate for less expensive properties: The transfer tax for properties valued at less than $1 million would drop from 0.75% to 0.60%.
The language of the “Bring Chicago Home” referendum asks voters to decide whether the city should move from the current flat tax model on real estate transfers to a graduated tax, which would impact real estate transactions on all value levels.
