I never liked his delivery of his songs. However, I was quite shocked at how many songs he wrote and who recorded them. He could write a song but his singing wasn’t my can of beer. Each to his own I guess. I served on a submarine with a guy who played his singing all the time. By the end of patrol I was ready to kill him. It’s hard to avoid someone when you only have 425 feet forward to aft.
