The wife raised this daughter. Mothers are the most influential person on their kids especially girls. So she learned what she learned from mommy.

A parent owes their children the best start in life they can. That means an education, as far as they can afford, and good values. But the parent does not owe a house.

Your first order of business is to talk to your husband about the situation to make sure you’re on the same page. As it stands, part of the problem might be that you’re of two different minds when it comes to financially supporting your adult children.

This woman shouldn't say a word to her husband. He is her daughter's stepfather and has no financial obligation to buy his stepdaughter a house. Mom needs to tell her brat it's not happening.

A parent owes a great education through high school. (Preferably homeschool if they remotely love their kids).

Parents do not owe their kids an education beyond that. We loaned our kids money and expected the loans to be repaid.
