Here’s the deal:
If ACV helps, it should be a tell that there’s something wrong and prompt action to correct it.
NOT take ACV to mask other problems with the endocrine system.
The long-term effects of this are unknown, including the effects upon the esophagus.
I think the benefit is primarily from acetate, which some people can get from gut bacteria converting some types of fiber.
It would seem simply adding it into finished food or drink could work. It wouldn’t have a strong flavor, but you still get the acetate ingredients.
I have been using apple cider vinegar capsules, trialling them.
I used to do a shot of apple cider vinegar (Mrs. Bragg’s) daily. At first taste it tastes like vinegar, but then the after taste is pure apples. I always thought that peculiar, but delightful. I stopped because I was worried it would hurt my teeth, but I can dilute. May give it another shot.
"Jarvis's 1958 book Folk Medicine: A Vermont Doctor's Guide to Good Health was on The New York Times Best Seller list for two years,
ultimately selling over one million copies, more than 245,000 copies in a single year, and was still in print as of 2002.
Wrote one reviewer, "Pliny, the ancient Roman originator of the doctrine of signatures, used honey and vinegar to cleanse the system and promote good health. D. C. Jarvis, M.D. in Folk Medicine has re-popularized the use of honey and apple cider vinegar in modern times."
I've had this book for over 30 years - but discontinued acv bc of the taste...

Shoot. That was a thing 40 years ago. A book, “Folk Medicine” by Jarvis.
Have been taking a swig of raw organic apple cider vinegar every day for years. Throw in cold pressed organic coconut oil (tblspn). No clue about helping with weight loss, don’t have extra, being pretty much a carnivore also helps (beef centric by choice).
Stay healthy my friends!
I just ordered the Folk Medicine book by Jarvis after reading y’alls comments about it.
