Although I agree, a revolutionary approach such as elimination of all government provided health care would not go over well with the electorate. An incrementalist approach on this issue such as banning the government subsidies for medically unnecessary treatments would be deemed ok by the electorate. Eliminating Obamacare would work as well…eliminating medicaid and medicare won’t fly this election.

That is true.

It would need to be done gradually because to suddenly deny people healthcare when they have no health insurance would not work out well.

People need time to figure out what to do.

I agree that elective surgeries would be a good place to start.

Also, no healthcare for illegals except emergency, life saving kind that gets them well enough to ship back as soon as feasible.

Get rid of the free health care for illegals that we have to pay for. We have to pay for our own medical care. They should, too if they receive any. I think our healthcare costs would adjust to reasonable levels.
