Yet, I think like others on this thread you have put my remarks in a bit of a broad context. Perhaps lj came closest when she commented that I have a too compassionate heart.
I blame Trump's attys for this needless outcome, but I would have to concede that they might be doing exactly what Trump required. I can't see any reason for Trump to lose Trump Tower and especially Mar-a-Lago for pennies on the dollar and most especially to the gangsters who want to destroy him.
I am not a legal beaver but I have been in court a few times representing myself and never lost. I once went to court facing the states of Rhode Island, New York and New Jersey; they stopped me outside the court room, me having no atty, saying that I didn't have to face the judge, we could settle right in the hallway.
I pleasantly smiled and pulled out a ream of well organized paper work and explained why I thought it might be to my advantage to present my case to the judge. It was a small stack easily read, properly collated financial facts that completely undermined their case against me. I think they were about to weep. They agreed to restore the status quo and - something I didn't expect - the judge shifted the responsibility of the routing of the contested financial obligation off of me and placed it on the state of New York (where I did not live!) 🤷
Anyway, I told DJT today on TS that I wished (for his sake) that I was an attorney. He 'liked' that.
The gross unconstitutional injustice of what is being finalized greatly offends my sensibilities - as it does many others here and about, plus my favorite legal minds who seem as frustrated as I am.
👉 We will see what happens. No reasonably honest legal mind can in any way countenance the situation as it stands today. More so, no reasonably honest legal mind can deny that this is a lawless autocratic administration and the danger signs are darkly foreboding. It is not just returning everything to 'normal'; it is a fight that could lead to trouble - although they don't put it quite like that of course.
