I believe that the landing gears hit the sea wall, so they probably did take out some of the ILS equipment. Google maps show them poking out of the water ahead of the seawall.
I remember seeing the reports of it when it happened. Sure was close.
We didn’t live down there but visited friends in the area from our home in Sacramento and that arrival runway was right there at the water edge...We may have left on flights from SFO before but I don’t remember looking at the runway configuration..
