This may be, I think, the precursor to the Cascadia Subduction Zone letting go.
I kind of hope it is.
Washington and Oregon deserve to be destroyed based on all the evil that is being allowed by the state governments and by the people who live on the west side of both of those states.
Yeah I live here too. If it ends up killing me, oh well. “I’m tired, boss”.
I.E. Holding your breath is not recommended.
I detest those bird killers. Years ago, weather in northern Texas was unusually cold and the wind farms froze up. We were all laughing about gas-powered helicoptors flying up to spray some kind of antifreeze on them to make them work again.
Juan de FUCA Ridge is the actual name. No joke.
I still remember when Mount Saint Helens had her little burp. I hope it doesn’t happen to a volcano with three miles of water on top!
Someone please post a Fred Sanford meme saying, “It’s the big one, Elizabeth!”
This stuff always sounds scary to me. “The Juan de Fuca Plate is being pushed east underneath the North American Plate, forming what is known as the Cascadia subduction zone off the coast of the Pacific Northwest. The plate does not subduct smoothly and can become ‘locked’ with the North American plate. When this happens, strain builds up until the contact suddenly slips, triggering massive earthquakes up to or greater than magnitude 9. Major earthquakes along this zone occur on average every 550 years and can have major impacts on the physical structure of the North American continent and seafloor” https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juan_de_Fuca_Ridge
Speaking for a friend in California, the company data backup is NOT in California.
An earthquake could disrupt the naked bicycle races, the Lenin statue, the queer meetings, chop/chaz celebrations, the massive homeless camps, and pot sales
Interesting.
(In before next Mag 8 - 9 Earthquake triggers off in the fault offshore of Oregon-Washington coast )
The Cascadia Fault line offshore of Oregon and Washington state regularly trips a Magnitude 8.5 to 9.5 earthquake every 350 to 380 years.
The last earthquake occurred there in Jan 1700, recorded by devastating tsunamis in Japan that destroyed many cities and towns. (Documented by the tax records for 1700. Well, the zero taxes received from the towns and counties destroyed.)
324 years later, we are due.
ANY volcano or earth movement offshore should be reported with caution. If not actual alarm.
Instead, we get TV-hyped hysteria about Yellowstone. And the Canary Island mudslides.
You saw that connection too, eh?
Well, on the bright side, if Seattle is hit by a tsunami at least its street denizens who are “experiencing homelessness” would finally get a bath.
well a wind turbine accident closed I-84 in Oregone for many hrs today......just think of how much wasted energy and extra fumes created by all those having to wait with their heaters on for the road to clear....
“Happy campers poop in their pampers
When the mountain becomes a fountain
Of white hot lava, molten magma
Supersonic plate tectonics”

That’s what I thought too. Modern news is trash. I would guess the other info in the story could be suspect also.
Pronouns are zee/Zeph/Zinganthropus....when everyone intermingles (euphemism for interethnic copulation) with everyone else...eventually there will be NO apparent diversity. We’ll all be the same skin color, height, weight, aptitude, and live the same way in a sanitized human hive. Discrimination will be based on differences in genetic mutation history.
And the big one, in the range of 9+, will trigger Mt Rainer, which will erupt explosively, totally burying Tacoma, and laying waste to Seattle with major damage as far north as Bellingham.
Biden will go on another vacation.
I hope it doesn’t happen to a volcano with three miles of water on top!

There was one last year somewhere in the Pacific. Spew stuff into the stratosphere. Volcanoes are no joke. We live in a relatively quiet period. Previous peoples have not been as fortunate.
