I would say inflation, but I don’t remember the last time I gave only 10%. For me it has always depended on service, and how much the employee had to do to actually wait on me.
I usually tip 20% (or more) unless the service wasn’t very good.

I’ve lowered my tip amount to 15% or so. Restaurant prices lead inflation numbers. I lower it further if I’m required to use a QR code or tablet to pay.
