I’m pretty sure you or I would be immediately disqualified from being on a jury in St Louis. Not a chance there would be 12 of us on one. My prediction? The psychotic witch will get a slap on the wrist.
And this is why shooting Trayvon Martin made sense. When your head is being pounded into concrete, you are one more whack away from death or severe injury!
Also, this is why most of us learn to avoid certain situations. A friend was one of the white kids bussed to a black high school in Pittsburg in the 70s. 90% black. He and his brothers never ate breakfast because going into a bathroom at school would have resulted in a beating - from a dozen guys. They also never touched a basketball or got near a court at school, although they all loved basketball. Not worth dying for! And that was 50 years ago!
When my daughter was 13 and we were in a local Target and a tall black man tried to grab her but she outran him to come to me. I confronted the guy and he said "Don't make a big deal out of it" and ran out of the store. I called the police and they roughly interrogated my daughter into tears, as if she was at fault. She took years before she would go back into that Target again.
Hence the pistol training.
