Academy Awards show...On the air...
I am waiting to find out if Oppenheimer will win the best picture...
The black lady in THE HOLDOVERS just won best supporting actress award...It was a good movie...
My neighbor showed Oppenheimer last week at the exact time I had a Dr. apt. Glad to know it’s a good movie, will catch it someday.
Neighbor, BTW, grew up in Hollywood, knows some movie people and has DVDs of every movie ever made. He’s a bit of a PIA egomaniac but the movies are fun.
I'd like to see American Fiction. I've read that it very effectively skewers the white liberal gatekeepers of the publishing industry.
We mute it 98%. Yeah they see us watching. Whatever. We like to watch the fashion. Joan rivers got us into it when she headed fashion police. I can finally watch the awards after what? 15 years. Because there’s one movie crew and director and producer that doesn’t hate us and simply put a story together.

The only nominated movie I’ve seen is “The Holdovers.” It was very good!
The last time I cared about the Oscars was was the year ‘Lord of the Rings: Return of the King’ did their “clean sweep” as Stephen Spielberg called.it.
I agree...Oppenheimer did cheat on his wife...Nolan did not omit that from the film...

The show just mentioned names of people who passed away...Carl Weathers was mentioned...Even Pee Wee Herman was mentioned...
