The media personality believes her controversial confrontation with Sheryl Underwood on “The Talk” got her “banned in America.”
Sharon Osbourne says she's having trouble finding work in the United States lately.
While appearing on Celebrity Big Brother in the United Kingdom, the media personality discussed public backlash following accusations of racist behavior on The Talk with her housemates. “I got banned in America,” Osbourne said to her costars Lauren Simon and Louis Walsh (via Yahoo!). “I did nothing wrong.”
Yahoo! reports that after Simon asked Osbourne if she was permitted to work in the U.S., the Osbournes star responded, “I can legally…but nobody will employ me because they say I am racist.” Simon observed that Osbourne is Jewish, to which she responded, “I know, and that’s what I said to them!”
“They think we don’t know what it’s like to be picked on,” Osbourne continued. “I wouldn’t pick on anyone because of their race or religion, ever.”
Reps for Osbourne did not immediately respond to EW’s request for comment.
Osbourne generated controversy on The Talk in March 2021 when she defended Piers Morgan amid backlash to his questioning the validity of Meghan Markle’s comments about mental health issues during her Oprah Winfrey interview. Osbourne insisted that Morgan is “not racist” and said, "Did I like everything he said? Did I agree with what he said? No.” She explained that she wanted to defend Morgan "Because it's his opinion. It's not my opinion… I support him for his freedom of speech, and he's my friend."
Cohost Sheryl Underwood said, "While you are standing by your friend, it appears that you are giving validation or safe haven to something that he has uttered that is racist," to which Osbourne responded, "I feel like I'm about to be put in the electric chair because I have a friend who many people think is racist, so that makes me a racist.”
After the heated on-air exchange, Osbourne was accused of racist and homophobic behavior behind the scenes of The Talk. Osbourne denied these allegations. She exited the series shortly thereafter.
"The events of the March 10 broadcast were upsetting to everyone involved, including the audience watching at home," CBS said in a statement at the time. "As part of our review, we concluded that Sharon's behavior toward her co-hosts during the March 10 episode did not align with our values for a respectful workplace."
Black supremacists would load most Americans into boxcars for the ovens if they could get away with it.
But then I realized that Ozzy's wealth has a great deal to do with Sharon's managerial skills. In fact, Ozzy would've likely snorted up every last pound he earned had it not been for Sharon's tight leash.
Truly, a partnership.
Piers Morgan called Markle out on her BS.
The media played the race card.
Sharon defended Piers’ right to have an opinion.
The media painted Sharon and Piers as racists.
They were right and the media was wrong. Anyone surprised?
She’s 71 and worth $440 million. Maybe she can retire…
And it really doesn’t matter if she can work in the United States. The Osbournes have retired to England. Ozzy has made it clear that England is where he wishes to die.
That’s one bad thing about being a modern liberal. What is okay to say today might get you dragged to the guillotine tomorrow.
You just never know. So maybe it’s best to just use some common sense. Recognize the fascist “progressives” for what they are, and join the resistance.
Black Supremacy exists mostly because white leftards enable them and push the agenda by constantly howling about perceived ‘racisms’ in just about everything.
The left only destroys, Sharon. Wake up!
I knew an old man who had been an Albanian Communist partisan in WW2. Enver Hoxha he had been his schoolteacher. After the war, he was responsible for holding trials for those accused of being fascists because of their collaboration with the Germans and Italians. He endeavored to hold fair trials, acquitting people when evidence did not support the charge. He got in trouble with his superiors, who were expecting 100% convictions. If people were accused, of course they were guilty. They suggested that perhaps he was a fascist too. He managed to escape trial and probable execution by fleeing to Greece.
That’s exactly what the grilling Sarah Osbourne got sounds like.
Sharon, not Sarah.
Today if you make comment someone doesn’t like they respond you shouldn’t hate.
....they have no understanding whatsoever! Their grey matter can’t compute.
Sharon’s difficulty in finding entertainment commentary work in the United States may not be because people think she’s racist, but rather that Sharon (and her family) has long been overexposed in the media, and most folks have simply had their fill of her act. That she has lost a great deal of weight, and now looks haggard, or perpetually angry is not helping to increase her appeal either.
Note also that Sharon's accusers frame her comments defending free speech and her friend as "behavior". This rhetorical sleight-of-hand is meant to sound like they are not going after her over her speech. You will see this trick being used more and more by the left - like with the firefighters in NY.
As if she needs to work.
If only she’d keep Ozzy as far away on the other side of the planet as possible. He urinated on the Alamo and got banned for about decade from San Antonio, TX. The same year, 2015, he got unbanned, Guacamole Bush’s son, George P. Bush was elected TX Land Commissioner and didn’t see his office (but cashed his paychecks) for the first year as he was on daddy’s campaign tour. Anyway, Georgie P. did everything he could to basically give the Alamo to Mexico.
