Funny related story -- My wife's church had a priest who would end services by saying "The Mass Is Over".
The rote response is "Thanks be to God."
Being Missouri Synod Lutheran, not Catholic, I found it rather humorous.
Eventually, somebody clued in the priest. Somehow, I think Biden is way beyond getting clued in.
You don’t understand - It is said all over the world.
“The Mass Is Over. Go in Peace.”
The rote response is “Thanks be to God.”
Nothing special about it, and I doubt the priest would deviate from the Mass just because we all smile when we say it.
