NATO doesn’t have a shortage, they aren’t even in a war, but they are sure improving their readiness over what it was 2 years ago.
Its more like NATO is low on knives but has lots of automatic rifles. Tube artillery is old tech, no matter its upgrades. It is incredibly vulnerable to destruction from the air, and interdiction of its cumbersome logistics.
This is an artillery fight only because neither side has an effective air force. NATO doesnt have that problem.

Quite a thoughtful, and yet highly sympathetic and accurate comment. Your suggestion reveals the importance of taking a step back to reassess and gain a larger context and perspective. Hopefully, your advice will be considered.
