Your comment brought back a memory I had from my childhood ironically enough.
I was pretty small, and had a stomach ache in the back of a hot car from eating some gummy bears (or whatever) while my mom was driving around doing errands.
And the song “Deacon Blues” was playing on the radio in that memory (I didn’t know the name of the group or song at the time obviously)
Maybe that was the cause of my life long disliking Steely Dan.
Coincidently...I remember Willy Nelson’s “On the Road Again” playing as well that day..and I cant stand him either.
Musical tastes vary...and mine does (enormously) from yours.
I know what you mean. I sick as a dog for almost a week back in the early 70s and the radio kept playing” My name is Michael, I’ve got a nickel...” I feel like puking just typing it.
If you’re old enough, I bet the opening notes of Do It Again toss you into the Time Machine and take you back to a memory of high school that is bittersweet.
RIP and thanks for the trip back to happier days.
