Jabs——were free: I noted way back in the early days that the fact the shots were free should have been fair warning that a scam was involved. Remember the pics of thousands of people waiting in their cars to get a “free” shot? I noted at the time that if the shots had cost, say, 20 bucks, not 10% of the folks would have gotten them. It’s also kind of an indicator of the “freeloader syndrome.”

Taking an experimental drug because it is free enters the realm of idiocy. I guess some people would eat a free cookie even if the ingredients were from the back end of a baboon.
Only to the uninsured were they “free” free. (somebody somewhere paid for it)
Otherwise, free was RAT speak for no out of pocket to you.
