Nancy Mace must have been counseled on her lack of focus, in her George Steponallofus interview on Sunday, I believe it was.
Today FAUX shrills on the Outnumbered show put up a quote of today’s Mace reaction following that interview.
FINALLY. She got the words out! She said today, “TRUMP WAS NEVER CONVICTED OF RAPE IN ANY COURT”! Sheesh. I wanted to reach through the screen yesterday. Gah!
Why she couldn’t cough up that exactness where it mattered and when it mattered, for George’s Leftist audience, we will never know.
Dim bulbs represent themselves so voraciously, forgetting they have a country to save.
Gaetz is about as perfectly spoken and instinctively agile about when, where and what to speak, as anyone ever. Poor Mace tags along.

I felt the same way. Stephy's charge was phrased in a very clever legal way to avoid saying: "Donald Trump was convicted of rape" but to then immediately frame it as the same violent criminal act that Nancy Mace experienced as a teenager was one of the sleaziest double speak smears a legalistic creep could form❗
I really think Nancy Mace was feeling just as she described - but having a hard time broadening her statement to include Trump; Stephy's slime flung her back emotionally to her own personal traumatic event and conjured the disgusting terror in her memory. Of course to equate her experience to what Trump might be implicated with having done was staggeringly evil ... I think that it was more than she could handle off the cuff.
As you say, at a calmer moment she rose to the occasion. The evil of Geo Steph's ploy was just staggeringly dumb founding, even to me. As if I didn't already view Disney as filled with evil, this just exploded that view into new vistas.
