At some point I discovered that the 'in' posts were helping to dispel the demoralizing fog that our trolls would pipe into our threads; the gifs and intros seemed to 'reset' the mood, cleanse the palate, and signal a new day and the end to prior thread friction. These features moved me over to the side of those advocating for 'IN' posts and cat gifs. And here we are. . .

Another good meme. It's always a judgement call and no hope of everyone agreeing with any decision I make. Putting IN!/Katz posts at the start of threads allows dissenters to skip the start of threads - with some saying they read nothing prior to post 100 etc. This helps locate content which some perceive to be distraction in a predictable location while reducing occurences in the middle of focused content or debates.

This is stirring old memories of olde tyme debates...Some still remember the owl slides with pride...and others say they will never get over them.....
