Gateway Pundit needs to review the Batik Air pilots' contract (if one exists) before making such stupid comments. Lack of proper rest is an ongoing issue with pilots and flight attendants. Proper crew rest is contractualized in order to protect them, but often when flight schedules get screwed up (weather, staffing, mechanicals, etc.), you find yourself in these situations. If the Batik pilots do not have the authority via union contract to refuse the flight based on lack of rest, this is what happens.
So to say, "Stay on the ground, then," just illustrates their lack of knowledge of the subject.
