PS reminds me of an incident when Firefighters in (IIRC) San Diego were told to drive engines in some homo pride parade and they refused, and the Fire Chief disciplined them in some way. They fought it legally and won. Not exactly parallel and I may have gotten it sort of mixed up...

New York has abandoned the Constitution! Their courts are not even guided by the rule of law. They elected AG James and they get what they wanted - e.g. Donald Trump.
Americans would be well advised to skip going in to NY if they can. Unpredictable things can happen. Their governor has even called in the military to take over normal police powers - heretofore declared unconstitutional!
