My son was about to buy one, but decided not to so far. Putzing around town would be good though for around here were power is cheap, but the greenies want to take out the dams, so there ya go!

Good grief, I hadn’t heard that one. So I guess they’re fine with flooding.
I had to go look up how TVA’s dams work in their energy production. There’s a lot of dams, 31. However, they only product up to 1953 MW between all of them, and that’s the max amount in the summer. I’m not sure why, but all the lakes are low in the winter, so little energy production.
Natural Gas plants produce the most at 12000 MW, 3 nuc plants next at 8K MW, and coal still up there with the nuc plants in output at 7K MW.
Ok, the renewables are a laugh. 27 MW for wind. Their website is very nonspecific on their solar abilities, just lots of plans. Since we are cloudy at least half the time, it seems a waste of $ to me. Not to mention solar fields are pretty ugly and kill lots of animals to put them in place.
