Read about the walleye run in Fremont Ohio (home of Rutherford B Hayes home, museum etc. the family graves there. Home of annual civil war reenactment(on Hayes property) on Hayes birthday. He was an officer for The North and is wife assisted with medical. I lived there 72-78 much may have changed.

But I digress. Walleye. On the Sandusky River. Empties into Lake Erie. People would come from states away for the annual fishing romp. It was great for the economy. Along the banks of river people were lined up shoulder to shoulder. Coolers with beers behind them. Many in river wearing waders

That river looks kinda muddy. Yes, I have been in a few battlefield fishing situations, even in boats. Not fun. But there is a reason for the big turn out, cause they taste dern gud!
