Uh, mental illness does not depend on what one eats. Food/drink obviously have some effect on the emotions.

I don't think that's true. Studies have shown that diets high in processed foods can cause depression etc.

Well, studies are very expensive, and it's hard to fund studies that have a solution that won't make someone very rich. Often they have to start with a smaller study.
One thing I've never understood is how it's "science" that patent status or ability to generate revenue is a necessity for a successful intervention. Can you explain that?
