At least they acknowledged there is poor infrastructure and little economic opportunity.
I lived outside the ring counties around Philly and moved to Northwest PA, outside Erie. Erie is the fourth larges city in PA. Few of our neighbors have cable TV. Plenty of dirt roads. I can go about 2 miles in any direction and lose cell service. Our township has no police....coverage is by the state police.
Every year the rural areas get a little poorer, the number of kids in schools a little smaller and the grocery stores are closing.
They look around at how other folks live and wonder out loud how we can afford Ukraine and illegals and EV’s and solar power and all the other stuff Washington seems to be pissing money away on.
There’s a reason why Loudoun County, Virginia is the richest county in the USA....and it has a lot to do with DC.
