I just finished 60 sessions of HBOT at a local hospital due to radiation proctitis caused by my treatments for prostate cancer caused by agent orange exposure back then.
They have you dress in new scrubs every day and put a ground on your wrist. They don’t allow anything besides what you were born with in the chamber. Need to shower before each session. No metal, batteries, hearing aids and hard contacts can go in the chamber.
In my case it worked somewhat but still need a transfusion every 6 months or so...
I was bleeding from my bladder lining 2 years after radiation for my prostate. Lots of pain and lots of nurses pumping clots out of me. Was in the hospital 27 days out of 30.
60 hyperbaric treatments later cured.
center was run by UCSD 2 techs in attendance at all times during the 90 minute treatments. Doctor on duty. Other techs in the building. Professional.
