My first new car was a 1977 VW Rabbit “Champagne Edition” that had a 1.6L inline 4cyl and a 4 spd manual with front wheel drive. That little guy was a hoot to drive. I lived in Alaska at the time and I got two speeding tickets in Anchorage in the first two months I owned it. With proper tires it was an awesome winter car as well.
My first was a ‘63 Plymouth wagon, three on tree. My second was a ‘63 Dart convertible with push button automatic on the dash. They cost me $125 and $75 respectively.
