I don't see how Nikki could be the nominee when 90% of Republicans can't stand her. DeSantis also has a few delegates so she isn't the only one other than Trump with some.

Trump should leave instructions with some trusted person (or a sealed letter) saying who he would favor if he were to be assassinated. That person would have a big advantage in getting the nomination. It would not be Nikki.

Gavin Newsom has praised Nikki as his best surrogate.
