I am OK with the market structures as long as the regulators and politicians get held personally responsible for any issues.

Any honest discussion about the national electrical grid requires inclusion of the completely unregulated crypto mining industry.

This is what will break the grid - not the environmental movement, although it adds to the problem.

China outlawed Bitcoin mining in 2020. Since then the U.S. has more than picked up the slack. Texas is a huge player in crypto mining.

Crypto mining is a bottomless pit of energy consumption, yet it is completely ignored.

You have to really wonder if its purpose is, in fact, to break the grid.
