Just change your phone settings to WiFi Calling and you’ll be good to go!
WiFi Calling proved to be a great feature for us when we purchased our first iPhones a year ago. We live in a city with roughly 100,000 residents (and rapidly growing), but cell reception here, especially in our neighborhood, sucks. 5G is nearly impossible at our house, so good luck trying to go with 5G Internet. I also believe iPhone's messaging goes (or can do) through the Internet via WiFi.

When we were with T-Mobile I bought a smart phone, by OnePlus - a great device. It’s almost identical to the Motorola I have now. When we changed providers to Verizon, VZ said it’s “totally compatible” with them.
Found out that it is NOT totally compatible. Wifi calling does NOT work, and the option is greyed out. VZ told me they block it from devices they don’t sell, it is “not provisioned”, and they won’t provision it.
Hubby uses it now, and loves it, except he can’t use wifi calling. There are times it is almost necessary, and he is dead in the water.
Buyer beware when taking a device to Verizon.
