My understanding of how Japanese Americans were treated during WWII suggests to me that they were treated unfairly. The idea of "camps" may not have been unfair but any camp that was set up should have been a lot better than the typical one was. And it's my understanding that many of them lost their possessions while in the camps and,as a result, were broke when they were released. If that's true that, too, was unfair.
Also,I can't see why "camps" for German Americans shouldn't have been set up too.
Just sayin'...

There were German camps. Per Wiki: “A total of 11,507 people of German ancestry were interned during the war (WWII), comprising 36.1% of the total internments under the US Justice Department's Enemy Alien Control Program.”

Also,I can't see why "camps" for German Americans shouldn't have been set up too.11,000 German aliens and suspcious German-Americans were sent to camps in WWII, but not the whole 11,000,000 German-Americans. The total number was higher than 11,000 because their families came with them. 4,500 suspicious German aliens from Latin America and their families were also interned here. Similar things happened in WWI.
