That’s what’s needed. Portable escalator. Yeah, it's 2024. Ridiculous to continue to use a monster staircase when an escalator is much more efficient and safer for everyone boarding and disembarking.

It is good to be the King.
The Saudis are smart enough to ensure their monarch gives the proper image. It's not dignified for an elderly head of state to be tripping on the steps at the airport. Nothing fails quite like an old goat attempting to look young and spry, and then falling down in embarrassment.
