I quit watching in the 90s when the NBA went to rap culture. Eff the NBA
Was this Stephen A. Smith ever a pro athlete? O don’t know much about him, but he always has something to say about the teams. I understand he is paid to pontificate and render judgement. Nice work if you can get it.
Back in the day, the baseball All-Star game was started as a game to get all the best players together in one game. There were no playoffs, only the World Series, so the best players across the two leagues never faced each other unless they met in the WS and it was a treat for fans to see (hear in those days) players from the different leagues facing each other. Those days are long long gone.
Maybe the NBA needs to get rid of the 3 point line.
Remember that old Cheech and Chong skit where one of the guys is asking some street dude to help push a car, and street dude replies:
“Push de’ car?! Get your Momma to push de’ car!”
For this game I guess it would be,
“Play defense?! Get your Momma to play defense!”
Make it meaningful. Losing team gets to run around the outside of the court 20 times. Last 5 players get to do 40 laps.
Hmmm, maybe simple solution.
Basketball players are taller than in 1891. So, raise the official height of the baskets to compensate.
“one of those pretentious FReepers who loves to say they don’t watch something out of right-wing virtue signaling.”
I don’t watch because they hate white people.
They hate me.
I hate them.
