Trump and DeSantis are both Florida residents. I don’t think it would be wise for Trump to switch back to being a NY resident. I would also like DeSantis to remain the governor of FL as there are many political fights still to be won.

I don’t see Trump picking Haley. She is funded by leftists and would probably be a threat to sabotage Trump.

I am interested to hear who others think the VP pick should be.

Ask 587 people on FR and I doubt RD gets more than 10% and NH more than 3%. Plus I really think there’s a mystery candidate that’s not even on the list.

I remember when Trump was president, shortly after Nikki left as U.N. ambassador, there was an article in the left-wing press, , Atlantic, NYT, I forget, by an "anonymous" Trump administration "insider", about how the "pros" were keeping an eye on Trump and keeping him in check. I was pretty sure at the time that the author was Haley. She is much better than Biden, but I detest her. She is an absolute non-starter for me.

I want General Flynn to be Attorney General, boss of the FBI.

I want him to clean that Augean stable by changing the course of the Potomac and cleansing it completely, and then relocating FBI headquarters to Oklahoma City.

My thoughts, highly weighted toward “Will it help Trump win the election in the eyes of the moderate, independent voters?” vs “Would that person make a good functioning VP for four years?”

RD - No. Too much like Trump, and he’s a great governor of a very important state
NH - Not now. She may have had a chance early on if she had moved to support Trump’s positions from the get-go, but she went the wrong way, and hard.
VR - Yes.
TS - Maybe at best. Not on fire enough. Senator’s disease.
BC - No. I feel like he had his shot. Low energy. Cabinet post.
TC - No. No political/executive experience. Better where he is.
KN - Yes, but she needs to ramp up the energy.
SHS - Yes
GMF - No. I feel like he won’t appeal to the middle. Better as COS.
KL - Not yet. She’ll get a shot at something bigger if she wins her Senate race and performs well as a senator.
JDV - No. Too much like Trump. Senator’s disease.
ES - Yes.
MTG - Yes.
BD - Yes.

JD Vance. Or Kid Rock...

And Trump may do something to throw the communists into catatonic shock. He may pick Tusli, or RFK jr, or someone else of that ilk and go for the gigantic middle.

This election is unpredictable. And he has already said he does not think the veep really matters for votes. That it’s just a 3 day story in the news.

Wait till her speech about “The Yellow School Bus.”

That will make or break her VP chances.

He’s probably the oldest on the list, but Ben Carson would be my first choice.

Trump maintains a private residence at his golf course in New Jersey. He has hotels in Las Vegas. He has an estate in Virginia, which he bequeathed to his son, Eric, as a vineyard. He has other choices besides New York.

Pence caught most of us by surprise. We should see Haley for what she is.
