I welcome Flag Football as a woman's sport, and for mixed-sex beer-league teams for sociability and sportsmanship. Sports is good for everyone, and if they can take the skill and strategy of football, and subtract out its impact injuries, then that's an undeniable good for the sport's mass adoption.

As far as a professional or Olympic-level sport, eh. Top level football just isn't the same without tackling.

I remember a former NFL player by the name of Robert Edwards.
Young, with a great football career ahead of him.
He blew his knee out during a NFL Rookie beach flag football game in HI.
Almost had his leg amputated from complications.
Out 4 years, never the same.
