Coincidentally , we had one last night as I was about to go to bed . It was a 4.3 in neighboring Miyazaki prefecture . Epicenter was about 50 miles away but could be felt here . First one in a while .

The title and article are just generalizations. Of COURSE cruises, etc., aren’t for everybody, but for some it’s a wonderful way to live their golden years.

That's interesting. Does your weather have any influence on the occurrence of the quakes? Or do they happen more at a certain time of the year?

Japan sits on four major tectonic plates and that is why there are so many quakes .

Thanks for the info. I checked out a map of those plates, and I can understand now why those quakes happen so often.
