“Not to start an argument, Judas.”
To that point, Jesus sent Judas away to do his business before he addressed the other Disciples with His most intimate teaching. They didn’t get the full meaning but they were reminded in time.
. Of course all the Apostles ran when Jesus was betrayed. And the Lord knew that Judas would betray Him and and said so John 13:10-11 10 Jesus answered, “Those who have had a bath need only to wash their feet; their whole body is clean. And you are clean, though not every one of you.” 11 For he knew who was going to betray him, and that was why he said not every one was clean.
I’m following along with this discussion and I’m sorry to say but I see a lot of qualifiers, and reasons to NOT wash someone’s feet. What am I missing?
I guess I’m looking at it from the perspective of wash ‘em all, only God truly knows which ones are worthy (and I don’t think he judges as harshly as we do). I”’d rather make the mistake of washing too many than not enough.
