Were the door locks disabled, trapping the person inside?

Electric vehicles have a manual handle in case of electrical failure.
However, if the car was far enough in the water the doors could be held closed by the pressure.

Driver now trapped?

No emergency glass breaking tool onboard the car?

Panic?

Flooding?

Drowning?

Physical ailment preceding the event/movement of the vehicle?

Hint: break off rear view mirror and use it to bash open an inoperable window, or use the metal buckle in a seat belt to bash open the window.
