I noticed “shrinkflation” decades ago and noticed it again in the last few Biden years.
A typical example is a sports drink that came in a cylinder shaped plastic bottle. Now it is a slight hour glass shaped bottle. “NEW! EASIER TO GRASP BOTTLE!” was the come on. You lost maybe a third of the original contents by going to an hourglass bottle but it still cost as much as the original straight side bottle.
I should mention I also opened a can of mixed vegetables not long ago. It was two thirds full of vegetables. The rest was water. Not like the olden days when such a can would be packed to the top with vegetables.
