I was talking to a relative who is currently at college, and he told me, almost all the students he knows mostly listen to 80s alternative music.

I am mostly into Seventies music, but there was a lot in the Eighties that I liked.

I just heard a tune from “Missing Persons” the other day...bit of a blast from the past!

It seemed to me when the Nineties hit, and “grunge” became somewhat mainstream, I stopped listening to the radio. Couldn’t stand the nihilism of the lyrics or the sound of the music.

Granted, that was around the time that things like iTunes or other ways of listening to your own music on demand came into vogue, and affected my choice as well.
