If the Border is truly the #1 issue in 2024, then Greg Abbott should be Trump's VP. The optics on the Campaign trail would be awesome, with a real Border Czar on the ticket.
The LT Governor, Dan Patrick, is far more conservative than Abbott, I call that a win-win.

Paxton or Patrick would be better. They’ve been fighting the good fight from the get-go while Abbott languished for years waiting for his balls to appear.
